Another show I'm crazy about is Prison Break. I felt compelled to do something with this photo of Wentworth Miller (who plays Michael Scofield in the show). After all, he is wearing a beanie.

A dark purple color scheme seemed to be what was needed here. Added a lot of highlights, did plenty of painting over. I tried for the "oil painting" look again. Much fun!

 

I'm not sure what movie or TV show this is from, but it's Richard Armitage again.

Something about the expression and the lighting in the original photo said "delicate" to me. So I went for a soft, light touch with this image. Giving one side of the face a purple shadowed cast (while keeping the rest of the face in a warm flesh tone) was a challenge.

Daniela Denby-Ashe as Margaret Hale in the 2004 BBC miniseries North and South.

 

 

 

Denby-Ashe is really so beautiful in North & South, but so often the screenshots of her don't quite capture her loveliness. And the BBC promotional photos of her often didn't even look too much like her. Don't know what was going on there.

For this image I gave her a very subtle "makeover," adding color to the lips, enhancing the eyes, and correcting the color (keeping a cool shadow on the one side of the face). I also refined the shadow underneath her chin and jaw.
