Another Mr. Thornton (Richard Armitage, North & South). The lighting on this one was so interesting, I couldn't resist.

 

I used some of my favorite "painterly" techniques, and changed the color scheme—particularly on the shadowed side of the face.

Yet another Richard Armitage picture—I think it's from MacBeth. (It is the same production—from the Shakespeare Retold DVD—that James McAvoy is in.)

He seemed rather "intense," so I added that text to the side. This was another product of Photoshop's gradient maps, and lots of other filters. I had a great time with it!

A blurred background was added (using "Motion Blur" in Photoshop) to suggest speed and urgency (fitting in a film about time travel). The color and contrast were adjusted in the face, some filters were applied, and various other adjustments and enhancements were made to the face.
